Mental Health Project

Our festival's primary objective is to promote awareness and provide support for mental health. Through this event, we aim to bring attention to the importance of mental well-being and create a platform for open discussions, education, and understanding of mental health issues.

The festival serves as a safe and inclusive space where individuals can come together to share experiences, knowledge, and resources related to mental health. We believe in the power of community and seek to foster a supportive environment that encourages empathy, compassion, and destigmatization.

Meditation, yoga, and natural practices have been associated with several proven mental health benefits. While individual experiences may vary, research suggests the following benefits:

  1. Stress Reduction: Meditation and yoga are known to help reduce stress levels.

  2. Anxiety and Depression Management: Both meditation and yoga have shown promise in managing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

  3. Improved Emotional Well-being: Meditation and yoga can enhance emotional well-being by increasing self-awareness and emotional regulation.

  4. Enhanced Attention and Focus: Regular meditation practice has been associated with improvements in attention, concentration, and focus.

  5. Better Sleep Quality: Both meditation and yoga have been found to improve sleep quality. They can help relax the body and calm the mind, promoting a state of relaxation conducive to better sleep.

  6. Increased Self-compassion and Well-being: Meditation and yoga encourage self-compassion and self-care practices.

  7. Mind-Body Connection: Yoga, in particular, emphasizes the integration of physical movement, breath awareness, and mindfulness.

Proud to announce the
'Shawn Brassard' Memorial Fund

IMG_5428.jpg

In honour of my beloved brother Shawn, I have decided to create a memorial fund in his name. Shawn lived his life with generosity and compassion for others. It is my hope that these funds will help continue his legacy of kindness and selflessness.

We invite you to join us in honouring Shawn by supporting this wonderful cause.

Portions of the proceeds from the Elysian Festival Orangeville will go towards the “Shawn Brassard” Memorial Fund.

It is our mission that the money raised will go to individuals in need of support for mental health and or/addiction.

Thank you
